A’PEXi – Power Intake Kit – 2000-2007 MR2 Spyder (JDM 1ZZ-GE, Slight Modification required)

The Power Intake: Engineered for Pure Performance

The A’PEXi Power Intake is the ultimate air filter designed to generate pure horsepower. Inspired by racing machine intake funnels, it utilizes the Dual Funnel design to optimize airflow. While air travels along surfaces, the center of traditional funnels often remains unused. The Power Intakes innovative primary funnel channels airflow directly into the lower funnel at the base, a concept that proved successful in the original Super Intake model.

With enhancements in funnel design, advanced element materials, and improved airflow channeling, the Power Intake stands as one of the most efficient air cleaners on the market. By using highly durable injected resin, APEXi engineers created an ideal funnel shape that increases air speed without altering airflow direction. The 14-degree curve of the lower funnel maximizes efficiency, while its closer position to the base reduces drag and eliminates any “dead spots.”

A newly developed dry-density fiber layer filter material increases element density, providing maximum protection against foreign materials entering the engine. Compared to previous models, the Power Intake reduces ventilation resistance by approximately 10%, delivering optimal performance and protection.

As a dry-type filter, the Power Intake is essentially maintenance-free, eliminating issues common with wet-type cleaners, such as oil sticking to airflow meters. When filter replacement is needed, its both simple and cost-effective.
